Currently, there is an estimated 27Million modern-day slaves in the world today, more slaves in our world today than there ever were in history. We have taken this number of 27Million and decided to redeem it through this solidarity-source funding movement. (Note: the statistic of 27Million was first presented by Kevin Bales in his book “Disposable People: New Slavery in the Global Economy,” published 1999. Kevin is a sociologist who serves as a consultant to the United Nations and has authored several books about modern-day slavery).
There are many crowd-source funding sites on the Internet today, but at 27Million.com we feel that those who are a part of this campaign are more than just a crowd, we are individuals committed to standing in solidarity for this cause. Hence, we have chosen to use the term “solidarity-source funding”.
100% of your donations will financially resource the grassroots organizations that are part of our Network of Partners. Primary funding will go towards meeting shortfalls in annual budgets and any secondary funding towards sustainable catalytic projects that our Partners are endeavoring to accomplish. We are committed to consulting and advising our Partners through our due diligence processes to ensure that all funding is appropriately allocated, utilized and optimized.
All of our operational costs will be raised separately from the solidarity-source funding campaign. We believe that every dollar that is raised should go directly to the grassroots organizations. If you believe in the work that we are doing and would like to contribute to our operational costs, please email us at email@example.com.
We are currently recruiting network advocates throughout the globe and would love for you to become a part of our team. There are many ways to get engaged so please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can get you started in the right direction!
If you are a grassroots organization that is rescuing, rehabilitating and restoring the lives of trafficked victims in the areas or prevention, restoration, and/or intervention we would love to speak with you. We have an application process which includes a simple form, conference calls, and written agreements that is part of our vetting process. If you are interested, please email us at email@example.com.
